❤️ Who We Are
Renewed Hope Canines of Virginia was founded by two veterans called to serve those battling PTSD, trauma, and the invisible wounds many carry long after service.
Our vision is simple:
To bring stability, support, and renewed hope through highly-trained service dogs.
🎗️ Why This Mission Matters
For me, this mission is deeply personal.
I lost a close veteran brother to PTSD and alcoholism — a long and painful battle he carried quietly. Those of us who loved him fought hard to pull him back. Friends checked on him, stepped in, encouraged him, and did everything in their power to help him stand again.
But the weight of his invisible wounds was overwhelming, and ultimately, his struggle with trauma and alcohol took his life far too soon.
We carry that loss every day. And I truly believe that if he had the grounding presence of a trained PTSD service dog — someone to anchor him during panic, interrupt spirals, wake him from nightmares, and remind him he wasn’t alone — the outcome might have been different.
This belief helped give birth to Renewed Hope Canines.
✝️ A Mission Rooted in Faith
I believe God places purpose in our lives with intention.
Psalm 147:3 says:
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
Renewed Hope Canines exists to be one way He brings that healing — offering connection, comfort, and the steady presence of a service dog during life’s hardest moments.
🐕🦺 What We Will Do
We will train and place highly skilled service dogs with:
-
Veterans
-
🚓 First Responders
-
🧠 Individuals living with PTSD
-
💛 Trauma survivors
Our heartbeat is serving Virginia — reducing long wait times and providing local care, support, and community.
Each dog we train becomes:
-
a stabilizing partner
-
a grounding presence
-
a source of confidence and independence
-
a true lifeline for someone fighting battles others may never see
🌟 Why We Exist
Because too many people slip through the cracks.
Because loneliness and trauma can be deadly.
Because service dogs save lives.
Because no one should walk this journey alone.
This work is dedicated to those we’ve lost — and carried out in faith for those still fighting.
One service dog. One life. Renewed hope.
📍 Based in Central Virginia, proudly serving our state’s Veterans, First Responders, and trauma survivors.
